As an Associate Financial Advisor, you will support existing Empower clients in Empower’s workplace plans. You will be responsible for key components to Empower’s growth initiatives including client retention, net promoter score, lifetime income score, and asset consolidation and growth. Through advisory conversations, your goal is to improve the financial lives of individuals on every call along the path to financial freedom.
The core business hours for this position are 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Eastern time.
What you will do
Must possess knowledge of the participant’s financial portfolio objectives, asset composition and past historical information
Must be able to explain and justify past returns in comparison to economic environment, while acknowledging long term goals
Identifies, executes and follows up on opportunities to contract additional client assets while providing client retirement planning discussions. Identifies trends and determines proactive solutions to maximize service quality and increase assets under management
Goals and results oriented with high level of accountability to produce positive results that directly correlate to retention and increasing assets under management and participant growth for managed accounts
Adheres to compliance/risk procedures and exhibits detailed attention to policy and procedures by focusing on the participant’s best interest
Document information from conversations had with clients pertinent to business and relationship development to be referenced for follow- up calls
Will perform aspects of financial planning for customer
Must be general securities licensed to open Brokerage IRA’s and Taxable Retail accounts and perform trading in both accounts
Trading equities, bonds, options, and ETF’s (among others) is a function of this dual registered role
Must be able to facilitate withdrawals and transfers of assets into taxable accounts and brokerage IRA’s
Will be responsible for best interest advice when appropriate
Responsible for performing financial plans when appropriate for HNW plan customers
Can act in a dually registered capacity when speaking to EAG clients and Empower Retail clients
Must be able to enroll participants in the managed account offering in the Empower Retail account
Will respond to inquiries regarding the Empower Retail managed platform
What you will bring
Bachelor’s Degree required
2+ years of financial customer service experience or recent college graduate with appropriate business/finance degree
Experience trading in equities, fixed income and options
FINRA Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65 required, as well as FINRA fingerprinting
What will set you apart
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
Previous experience working in a call center environment
Past brokerage and mutual fund trading experience as well as Retail, IRA and/or 401K customer service experience
Strong customer service background with a firm understanding of the diverse operational and investment needs of our customers
Knowledge of current financial markets and retirement account operations is necessary

Base Salary Range
$58,500.00 - $72,000.00
The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
