Job Title: Remote Commercial Insurance Underwriter

Overview

We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Commercial Insurance Underwriter to become an integral part of our esteemed organization. While we prioritize candidates located in Florida, we encourage applicants from nearby Gulf and Eastern Seaboard states to apply for this remote opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze initial submissions from potential insured clients and agents.
  • Prepare and present competitive quotes while maintaining consistent communication with clients and agents throughout the underwriting process.
  • Price and rate new submissions in accordance with established policies, collaborating with the Underwriting Operations Manager when necessary.
  • Cultivate and nurture robust relationships with insured clients and agents, ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Contribute to the accomplishment of production objectives and assist the underwriting team in achieving success.
  • Supervise the tasks of Underwriting Assistants, particularly concerning endorsement requests that necessitate specialized review and accuracy verification on bind requests.
  • Support Renewal Underwriters by assisting in evaluations, modifications, and the handling of bind requests as appropriate.
  • Engage in various administrative responsibilities as required.

Required Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting is essential.
  • A college degree is preferred but not mandatory.
