Job Overview

Join our innovative insurtech firm as an Insurance Product Manager specializing in Workers Compensation. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in product management while contributing to our mission of delivering tailored digital insurance solutions to small businesses across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary authority on our workers compensation product, analyzing data across multiple sectors to uncover growth and profitability opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to bolster our standing in the workers compensation landscape.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Sales Distribution, Technical Product, Engineering, Data Science, Claims, Compliance, Customer Operations, and Legal—to drive product growth and profitability.
  • Represent our business line to internal stakeholders and external partners, such as reinsurers and agents.

Required Skills

  • Over 5 years of experience in workers compensation insurance, focusing on product management, underwriting, or actuarial roles.
  • Strong analytical abilities and a proven track record of data-driven decision-making.
  • A customer-focused mindset and a genuine passion for developing exceptional products that empower small business owners.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities, allowing you to manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort in working independently and navigating through ambiguous situations.

Qualifications

  • A BA/BS degree from an accredited institution is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing workers compensation insurance products within the small and medium-sized business (SMB) sector.

Compensation And Benefits

The compensation range for this full-time role is between \(127,000 and \)171,000 USD, commensurate with skills and experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes a partially subsidized medical plan, fully covered vision and dental options, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, flexible paid time off, parental leave, and an equity incentive program.
