Key Responsibilities

As a Civil Engineer/Project Manager, your contributions will be crucial in the following areas:

  • Lead civil and site design, land planning, and permitting for diverse projects, including athletic and recreation facilities for municipal, K-12, and higher education sectors.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure project deliverables are met while adhering to quality control standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive construction documents, technical reports, and accurate cost estimates.
  • Manage project billing, invoicing, and staffing requirements.
  • Mentor and provide training to junior engineers, fostering a supportive environment that drives organizational success.
  • Participate in business development by writing proposals and responding to requests for qualifications.
  • Engage with clients during meetings, ensuring clear communication and fostering strong relationships.

Required Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, enabling effective leadership of design teams and mentoring of junior staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Civil 3D software.
  • In-depth knowledge of civil and site design, land planning, and permitting processes.
  • Familiarity with state and local permitting practices and experience working with Water Management Districts in Florida.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
