Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate optimal pricing, quality, and service agreements with suppliers.
• Uphold and promote compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Balance inventory levels effectively while minimizing waste and ensuring product availability.
• Collaborate seamlessly with various internal departments to achieve shared objectives.
• Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with vendors, store operations, and distribution centers.
• Conduct data analysis to evaluate costs, quality, and inventory metrics.
• Proactively resolve inventory issues and discrepancies at the store level.
• Stay informed about market developments and promotional effects.
• Gather insights from store visits to assess program impact and effectiveness.
• Oversee accounts payable processes and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Utilize remote access to procurement systems as necessary.
  
  

Required Skills

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or vendor management within the seafood sector or retail.
• Familiarity with marketing, logistics, or store operations is highly advantageous.
• Proven proficiency in seafood procurement, inventory oversight, and financial practices.
• Strong analytical and organizational capabilities, particularly in data-driven decision-making.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, complemented by the ability to foster strong relationships.
• Competence in MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
