Job Overview

We are excited to invite applications for the role of Senior IT Asset Data Analyst. In this pivotal position, you will significantly contribute to the strategic oversight and governance of IT asset data within our organization. Leveraging your advanced analytical capabilities, you will engage in mining, cleansing, and deriving insights to ensure the integrity and precision of our asset records. You will identify trends that could highlight discrepancies in our policies and processes, working collaboratively with stakeholders to propose enhancements in data management and operational procedures. Additionally, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing predefined exception reports to maintain the quality of our asset data and unveil growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the quality of asset data for all software and hardware assets within ServiceNow, including capital assets.
  • Identify pertinent data sources and establish repeatable processes to recognize data exceptions, ensure compliance, and analyze trends.
  • Communicate findings, challenges, and opportunities using impactful data visualization techniques.
  • Work alongside technical teams, business analysts, and process owners to relay insights and assist in formulating remediation plans.
  • Design and disseminate various reports, including compliance, KPI, and trend analyses.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing data and processes.
  • Aid in enhancing IT asset management practices and automation, particularly in inventory and asset management.
  • Support the expansion of our IT Asset Management (ITAM) program by identifying deficiencies and influencing ITAM governance standards.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Power BI, particularly with large datasets.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow (including HAM Pro and SAM Pro, as well as CMDB) and experience with Splunk and PowerBI is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of the System/Software Development Lifecycle and Project Management Methodology.
  • Knowledge of finance and procurement processes, including accounts payable, depreciation, net book value, and fixed assets.
  • A pronounced inclination and enthusiasm for continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst.
