Job Overview

We are a vibrant and innovative organization dedicated to cultivating engaged gaming communities through comprehensive marketing, creative solutions, and user research. Our specialized media division operates one of the industry’s largest multiplayer gaming networks, championing leading communities for popular games.

We are in search of a meticulous and forward-thinking Assistant Controller to enhance our finance team. In this prominent role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the precision and timeliness of our financial records. Your expertise will support the organization’s accounting frameworks and facilitate informed decision-making through meticulous financial statements and reporting. You will also oversee compliance, audit processes, and the monitoring of internal controls, positioning you as a vital contributor to intercompany accounting and transaction oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily and monthly accounting operations for the team.
  • Act as a pivotal resource for finance and accounting under the mentorship of the Director of Finance & Accounting, working closely with external auditors.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structures.
  • Serve as the primary contact for accounting operations, focusing on revenue recognition and analysis, managing accounts payable, and delivering reporting, analysis, and audit support for our entities in the US and Singapore.
  • Prepare critical financial reports and analyses for management review.
  • Lead the monthly close process, encompassing journal entry recording, reconciliation preparation, and financial analysis scheduling.
  • Review and refine finance-related policies and procedures; continuously evaluate processes, controls, and governance.
  • Assist with the annual audit process, providing necessary schedules and managing financial, analytical, and compliance matters.
  • Maintain productive relationships with auditors, banks, vendors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct additional financial analyses as required.

Required Skills

  • Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in Accounting.
  • CPA designation is mandatory.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with IFRS, US GAAP, and regulatory reporting standards.
  • Strong judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive and adaptable mindset with a readiness to engage in diverse tasks.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization.
  • Capacity to manage sensitive and proprietary information with confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Auditing experience in public accounting is preferred.

Compensation And Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from \(105,000 to \)130,000, based in Texas or Colorado. This role is fully remote and performance-based, with starting pay influenced by job-related factors, including geographic location, market dynamics, experience, training, and education.
