Job description

Job Overview

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife to join our esteemed team in a remote work setting. This pivotal role focuses on delivering exceptional healthcare services within a reproductive health environment. Collaborating closely with the Center Manager and a diverse team of healthcare professionals, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive comprehensive and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, formulate, and implement personalized healthcare strategies that align with our established protocols.
  • Conduct in-depth health histories and perform physical assessments, with an emphasis on reproductive health services, including breast examinations, pelvic exams, cancer screenings, and STI diagnostics.
  • Order, execute, and analyze laboratory tests as required.
  • Provide education and management for reproductive health issues such as fertility control, infertility, and STI care.
  • Prescribe necessary medications and contraceptive devices.
  • Oversee the medical aspects of services provided at the health center, acting as a resource for both staff and patients.
  • Ensure appropriate follow-up for patient tests and treatments, including direct communication with patients and thorough review of lab results.
  • Participate in our Quality Assurance Program under the supervision of the Quality and Risk Manager to enhance quality assurance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the affiliate staff physician or Medical Director for consultations and referrals as needed.
  • Engage in the training and orientation of health center staff.
  • Contribute to organizational productivity goals, targeting 11 RVUs per hour.
  • Assist in achieving revenue cycle objectives through effective management of testing and accurate documentation of activities.
  • Maintain precise medical records in our EHR system, adhering to applicable policies.
  • Uphold our professional standards while assisting center staff in facilitating efficient patient visits.
  • Familiarize yourself with and respond appropriately to clinic emergency protocols.
  • Support the Center Manager in preparing medical occurrence reports and participate in agency-sponsored meetings and training sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and all relevant state regulations.
  • Represent our organization at community events as required to advocate for reproductive health care.

Required Skills

  • Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse license and certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a recognized national credentialing body (e.g., NCC, ANCC).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
  • Capacity to manage health-related emergencies and make informed independent decisions.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional healthcare and outstanding customer service, with a sensitivity to diverse communities and cultural differences.

Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in nursing or a related health field is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Nurse, particularly in family planning, women's health, or an OB/GYN setting, is advantageous.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
