Compensation

The compensation target range for this role is:

$101,700 - $107,000

Job Summary

**Location can be anywhere within the Midwest or East Coast

As the Key Account Sales Manager, you will work to expand Purple’s placement in some of our existing National retail partnerships. You will be charged to represent the Purple brand by selling our range of mattresses, pillows, sheets, bases, and seat cushions. You will be an active part of helping to develop Purple’s identity as a wholesale supplier to major retail accounts.

You will be charged with increasing sales, ensuring clear and timely communication to customers about product and delivery, and discovering & making the case for new revenue through product innovation.

You will assist in growing sales and communicating forecasts to the production and supply chain teams. You will have responsibility for the management of P/L of your customers. This position reports to the Director of National Accounts.

While this role is an individual contributor, you will have a direct impact on how our data entry/customer service agents coordinate with manufacturing leads, marketing, and fulfilment & logistics, and purchasing. KPIs will include managing a sales and expense budget, adding new business revenue, cross-functional internal communication, and on-time communication with customers.

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Increase Purple’s balance of share for each account and seek incremental sales opportunities 

  • Participate in regular business reviews with accounts to build momentum and keep trends focused on positive gains 

  • Use the sales process to sell new product placement, promotional initiative execution, feature space placement, and point of purchase materials and displays 

  • Management of Purple’s advertising strategy with accounts to build the Purple brand and exceed sales objectives 

  • Grow sales by becoming an expert at Purple’s business model, product line assortment and Purple’s brand standards 

  • Negotiate both internally and externally to expand Purple resources 

  • Ability to prioritize time to focus on the most meaningful, results-oriented activities 

  • Be a dynamic team player that works well with others getting cross functional members to work towards a common goal 

 

 

Required Skills, Education, Experience: 

  • Minimum of 2 years of successful account management experience in consumer durables or furniture industry selling to corporate buying offices is preferred (or equivalent experience) 

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) 

  • Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, adaptable environment 

  • Must be agile and nimble working in a complex business conditions 

  • Domestic travel up to 60% (including overnights, air and car)
