Position: Division Human Resources Manager - Remote | Work From Home

Overview

In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic HR leadership that aligns with our organizational objectives while supporting key functions such as recruitment, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with on-site HR teams and management to ensure seamless daily HR operations, encompassing benefits, payroll, and risk management.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Division and Territorial Human Resources.
  • Ensure adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and legal guidelines (including U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA, ADA).
  • Provide timely and professional responses to HR inquiries.
  • Keep the Divisional Secretary apprised of HR activities and emerging issues.
  • Supervise HR personnel to guarantee the efficient and professional execution of tasks.
  • Develop and manage HR systems for daily operational needs.
  • Facilitate training sessions for officers and line managers on HR-related topics via webinars and conference calls.
  • Assist in conflict resolution and oversee the performance evaluation process.
  • Manage payroll processes, ensuring the accuracy of employee data within the UKG system.
  • Oversee the workers' compensation program, including the Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
  • Support the finance department by supplying personnel cost data for budgeting purposes.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Publisher).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of multi-state labor laws, workers' compensation, health plans, and employee benefits.
  • Experience in managing HR functions within a multi-site or remote environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Preferred certifications: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
  • Familiarity with UKG payroll systems is advantageous.
  • Valid Alaska Driver's License.
