East Side Games is looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team!
What You Will Do
- Provide coaching, feedback, and have regular one-on-one meetings with your direct and skip level reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and other engineering teams, to define and achieve collective goals.
- Provide a clear set of goals and direction, and ensure each team member understands how their work fits into the larger studio picture.
- Use your technical experience and expertise to provide guidance to client teams dealing with a diverse range of challenges.
- Ensure the team adheres to high quality standards by establishing solid team practices.

What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years as an engineering leader in game development or multiple shipped games
- Wide knowledge of software development practices and and knowledge of when and how to apply them to teams
- Expertise adapting to various communication and work styles
- Demonstrated history of working well with cross-functional teams and organizations
- Expertise growing and mentoring teams
- 2+ years of management experience
- Strong knowledge of gaming industry trends, technologies, and design philosophies.
- Unity experience is a strongly preferred
Compensation Range: $140K-$160K CAD per annum. Salary is determined by experience, skills, and capabilities.
