You Are
UST is looking for a Data Systems Analyst to join our team and support data analysis, data architecture, and design initiatives within a healthcare payer clinical data ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management and be able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
The Opportunity
- Data Management: Assist in data architecture, design, modeling, implementation, and maintenance of solutions in the clinical data ecosystem.
- Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Performance Optimization: Ensure data integrity and alignment with industry standards.
- Modeling: Contribute to the design and development of dimensional data models, supporting business intelligence and reporting.
- ETL Processes: Assist in interpreting and writing source-to-target mappings (ETL transformation rules) for ETL development.
- Governance: Support metadata and data governance processes.
- Communication: Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

What You Need
- Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling and SQL.
- Experience in writing SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with DB2, ETL tools (Ab Initio), and reporting tools (Cognos, Tableau).
- Understanding of data architecture and design.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-9 years of experience in systems analysis, with a focus on data warehousing in the healthcare payer sector.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Remote
Compensation Range: $82,000-$125,000
Benefits
Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).
All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
