As an Intern Consultant at IBM Consulting, get ready to tackle numerous mission-critical company directives. Our team takes on the challenge of designing, developing, and re-engineering highly complex cybersecurity components and integrating using various tools. You will use a mix of consultative skills, business knowledge, and technical expertise to effectively integrate cybersecurity platforms into our clients' business environment and achieve results.Joining IBM Consulting as an Intern offers you an opportunity to work on client teams, using technologies to help cybersecurity teams transform the way they work. As an Intern, you’ll develop relevant skills and quickly gain meaningful experience. Your Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our Cyber Security Services team. In this role, you will work closely with our team of security professionals to deliver high-quality cybersecurity services to our clients. You will assist in the implementation and maintenance of security controls, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with clients to understand their unique security needs. This is an entry-level position that offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from implementing security controls for a new client to conducting risk assessments for a client in a specific industry. Your primary responsibilities will include:


  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability management to identify potential security threats and develop strategies for mitigation
  • Work with a team of security professionals to deliver high-quality services to clients and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Assist in the development of security policies and procedures for clients.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security controls for clients, including EDR, Cloud Native Security solutions and encryption technologies.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise


  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment


Languages required: English (B2, written and spoken), Spanish (native/C1)

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

Final year students or recent graduates in CyberSecurity/Information Security.


  • 0-1 Years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field
  • Technical knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including security frameworks, protocols, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and regulations (e.g. NIST, ISO, GDPR)
