WellSky seeks a Staff Software Engineer to join our personal care team, an exciting and impactful part of the WellSky Home organization. You will be leading a team focused on integrations and engaging with clients to architect solutions using a suite of existing & new technologies. Your work will directly impact some of our largest franchise and enterprise customers to meet the needs of their patients while ensuring a happy and engaged Caregiver workforce. A day in the life!
You will be responsible for the following:
- Collaborating with clients and partners to analyze requirements, translating them into actionable plans, and developing high-quality solutions using existing technologies and SDLC standards.
- Mentoring and guiding Software Engineers to enhance productivity.
- Conducting system analysis and proof of concepts with limited leadership involvement to determine optimal designs.
- Researching and recommending software tools, frameworks, and emerging technologies for solutions.
- Leading or creating architecture and design to meet requirements and integrate systems.
- Enforcing unit tests, automated tests, and performance tests to ensure quality and aid debugging and improvement. Capturing performance metrics and provide documentation.
Do you have what it takes?
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant work experience
- 8-10 years of software development experience with Web-based applications using Angular, Python, Django, JavaScript, JSON, Terraform
- A deep understanding of RESTful API concepts and best practices.
- Experience building and supporting micro-services in GCP and AWS
- Adept at various database technologies and SQL languages, including PostgreSQL, Redshift, Big Query, Dynamo, and Athena, as well as big data ETL/ELT development and optimization.
- Good hands-on and working knowledge of Application development and SDLC and Agile Scrum methodology
Do you stand above the rest?
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare or related industry experience, including HIPPA, HITRUST, SOC 2, etc.
- Experience building data pipelines, ETL processes, and big data systems using Big Query, EMR, AWS Athena and Redshift technologies.
- Experience with SSO and various IDPs and configurations, including Okta, Google, Amazon Cognito
- Experience using API Gateways like Apigee
- Familiarity and development experience with AWS and GCP Microservices
- Familiarity with Developer tools/workflows (e.g. Git/GitHub, Linux, SSH, JIRA, Confluence).
