As a key member of the AAMC Services Marketing team, the Marketing and Creative Manager supports the Marketing Director to lead the development and execution of all Services marketing campaigns in alignment with business objectives and AAMC business best practices in marketing campaign execution, culture, and values. The Marketing and Creative Manager works with the Marketing Director to develop marketing campaigns and as well as to create the digital (website, social, email, online ads, etc.) and print assets needed to implement those campaigns. The position works closely with internal business partners and project management staff on multiple projects and will provide input on market segments, marketing approaches and campaign results as needed.

Our work in technology assists medical students, teaching institutions, hospitals and doctors to strengthen medical care and improve the health of all.

How will you make an impact?

Strategy Development & Cross-team Collaboration
  • Develop marketing campaigns with the Marketing Director, and implement related design assets, in support of AAMC Services’ new and existing service offerings.
  • Collaborate with the Services Directors and Program leads to develop and complete comprehensive marketing plans including tracking, metrics, and results reporting.
  • Incorporate marketing standard methodologies into all AAMC Services marketing activities.
  • Work closely with the Business and Services Communications teams define design elements, to write/revise compelling copy, and other functions vital for collateral development.
  • Work with Enterprise Communications and Marketing teams (as well as teams across the AAMC as needed) to ensure campaigns align and maintain the reputation of the AAMC.
Branding, Strategy Implementation & Campaign Asset Design
  • Implement marketing campaigns, including digital (website, social, email, online ads) and print assets, for AAMC Services' new and existing offerings.
  • Champion correct brand usage throughout all Service team communications and marketing activities.
  • Ability to formulate, develop and implement marketing plans for a varied array of AAMC products and services.
  • Ability to manage/develop promotional concepts and determine audiences.
  • Define the overall customer experience, marketing and essential messaging including positioning, and other required functions to support Services growth goals.
  • Support branding and growth of programs to meet revenue projections and improve the engagement experience of all key audiences.
Program & Creative Vendor Management
  • Strong team, creative, project management, and overall client management skills are essential.
  • Partner with the Business and Services Communications teams to define design elements, develop concise copy, and manage collateral development.
  • Ability to work well with people at any level of authority, to work independently, and to work effectively within a diverse professional environment is important.
  • Ability to assess markets and customer needs and develop marketing plans and product recommendations based on these assessments.
  • Manage numerous consultants and vendors for in-person events (e.g. video, materials and exhibit printing, promotional items, etc.) to complete campaign assets on deadline.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Project management expertise, adept at juggling multiple projects and keeping team members informed of timelines and expectations.
  • A collaborative and effective team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll bring to the role
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, digital communications, marketing, communications, digital communications, literature, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible B2B or B2C marketing experience, especially engaging effectively with target audiences, managing delivery of content across platforms, and maintaining brand consistency.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, DAM systems, and Canva is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, with the ability to create engaging, professional presentations.
  • Expertise in data visualization, transforming data into clear, impactful visuals for decision-making.
  • Experience in a deadline-oriented non-profit or business environment.
  • Knowledge of and experience using current communications and marketing practices and methods including PowerPoint presentations, social media, online advertising, marketing research, market segmentation, search engine optimization, and evaluation of marketing efforts.
  • Experience in marketing competitive products, programs and services, preferably in corporate business, education, health or technology strongly preferred.
Specialized Skills
  • Proficient in Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with a strong ability to manage customer data, automate marketing campaigns, and optimize CRM strategies.
  • Experienced in utilizing Google Analytics to track, analyze, and report on website performance, user behavior, and marketing ROI.
  • Knowledge of and experience using current communications and marketing practices and methods including social media, online advertising, marketing research, market segmentation, search engine optimization, and evaluation of marketing efforts.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple initiatives on deadline simultaneously are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues and external audiences at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in and enjoy a complex, fast-paced work environment is very important.

 

Remote Work Eligibility

This position is eligible for remote work in the contiguous US

Compensation Grade Range and Mid-Point

Grade Range:$93,500.00 - $173,700.00/ Grade Mid-Point:$133,600.00

The above annual compensation range and mid-point are general guidelines. For candidates who meet the criteria, the AAMC's compensation philosophy is to target the midpoint of the salary range. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, as well as internal equity, market, and business considerations.

If a bachelor’s degree is required, related work experience may be substituted in some positions.  One year of college course work at an accredited institution is equivalent to one year of related work experience.
