Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation is the team behind the cloud. CO+I is responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide. We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help build the network that powers the world’s largest online services. The Infrastructure Planning and Execution Center of Excellence team (IPE CoE) is responsible for enabling and optimizing the foundation that supports infrastructure delivery and execution for Land, Energy, Networking, and Datacenter Planning through efficient processes, data driven decision making, innovation, and automated and integrated tool sets.

As a Customer Experience Program Manager, you will drive technology programs from ideation and strategy formulation, through requirements and execution to build the next generation of core services for our organization. In this role you will be the liaison between the IPE and partner stakeholders and our internal Business Intelligence and Access Control (BI&A) teams to foster quality and scalable technology solutions with the right level of flexibility, while simultaneously ensuring successful development and implementation with a customer focused, innovative, and collaborative team culture. Translate ideas into reality by writing high quality requirements and specifications that cover end-to-end customer scenarios, and drive for results throughout the entire product development cycle. Your direct assignment will be to support the BI&A teams in CoE while partnering directly with other program managers to ensure holistic views across multiple workstreams, quality communications and operational efficiency as part of you leading the BI&A team’s deliverables and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Show up with a secure first mindset.
  • Your primary tool of choice will be Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Work closely with BI&A engineers, managers, partners, and stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements and ensure alignment on scenarios.
  • Listen and learn directly from customers and through customer data, ensure we’re making correct decisions each step of the way.
  • Removing process ambiguity and driving to clear solutions that are delivered with high quality.
  • Managing schedules, risks, and issues and communicating them effectively to the team, management, and partners.
  • Champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and process for regular assessment and improvement.
  • Create strategy and technology roadmap by collaborating with the team, product, and design partners.
  • Communication – clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal at various levels, including Executives.
  • Use data and analytics to support the business.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years thereafter. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 5+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience as a Technical Program Manager supporting engineering teams utilizing SCRUM processes and overseeing daily standups.
  • Experience/background with Azure portal and services, security and access control methodologies.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, OneNote, SharePoint, Power BI.
  • Experience with SQL, Power Query/DAX, Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Agile in focus and communications - shifting from strategic to tactical depending on the needs of the day and the audience.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma DMAIC and LEAN methodologies to support ongoing continuous improvement efforts.
  • Experience and/or knowledge in supply chain planning principles.
Customer Experience Program Mgmt IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
