Digital Marketing Manager - ZA

The Digital Marketing Manager – South Africa will report into the Head of Marketing. The Digital Marketing Manager will direct and have full ownership and accountability for performance from all of ClearScore’s digital marketing channels – including working on the annual planning and budget allocation. They will be empowered to craft the vision, strategy and execute, with support from colleagues in our head office in London; across our many digital acquisition channels, including paid search, paid social, and search engine optimisation.

We’re looking for someone who is highly analytical with great attention to detail and has a track record of understanding marketing metrics and making recommendations. You will be comfortable diving into the numbers and constantly optimising our approach to deliver brilliant results.

No day will be the same as you’ll work in an environment that’s constantly changing and you will have an opportunity to impactfully and notably make your mark on the business. We have a hybrid working model and are based out of beautiful Cape Town.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Create and own the holistic digital marketing strategy for across all major digital marketing channels, including paid search, paid social, and SEO, working with a cross-functional team to push the channels forward and drive user sign-ups
  • Specific to each channel, the Digital Marketing Manager will fully own the delivery and execution of campaigns across all digital channels from developing a roadmap, formulating OKRs to campaign creation, optimization and measurement
  • Devise, execute and share results from large scale experiments
  • Maintain strong relationships with our platform reps and other third-party vendors
  • Introduce solutions and establish an infrastructure which will enable us to efficiently scale digital marketing campaigns using automation
  • Stay up to date with the latest digital marketing innovations and share them with other ClearScore co-workers

  • Experience managing large scale digital advertising accounts, with experience managing medium – large budgets.
  • Extensive experience in planning and executing KPI driven campaigns in most, if not all, of the following ad platforms:
  • Google Ads, Facebook Ads, TikTok, YouTube Ads/DV360, mainstream app stores, and any of the major affiliate marketing platforms.
  • Comfortable with and experience managing search engine optimization (SEO) projects that span optimizing for on-page, off-page and technical SEO.
  • Experience using SEO tools such as SEMrush to identify content gaps and ranking opportunities to drive organic growth.
  • Understanding of automation, bidding and concepts like customer lifetime value (CLV).
  • Experience using data visualisation platforms such as Looker, Domo, Tableau is desirable.
  • Analytically minded with advanced knowledge and comfort using Excel to derive insights and tell stories with our data.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing measurement, attribution models and web analytics.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment with a high level of autonomy and responsibility, while working under pressure and within an evolving framework.
  • Obsession with delivering excellence.
  • Excellent project management skills, proactively managing inputs from multiple sources to forecast, report, diagnose and optimise, end to end marketing channels
  • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.

Previous experience that covers any of the following considered a great asset:

  • Financial services industry background
  • Ideally Tech start-up industry background
  • Experience working with product teams
  • An interest in developing their knowledge of ATL media channels (TV, BVOD, Out of Home, radio, sponsorship)
