Job Summary
The Human Resources Business partner is responsible for executing human capital initiatives, providing superior internal customer support, driving divisional excellence, and process improvement.
The incumbent has critical interaction and influencing responsibility throughout the organization and requires Human Resources operational knowledge to gain credibility with management and partners with individual business unit by attending and presenting at staff meetings as needed. The incumbent will have daily contact with employees at all levels of the Enterprise as well as outside organizations, vendors and external applicants.

Requirements

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field. In lieu of degree, five (5) years’ experience in an exempt-level Human Resources role will be considered.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION

Human Resource generalist professional certification through Society of Human Resource Management or comparable accrediting agency preferred; if not certified, must obtain within two (2) years in position. (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR)

EXPERIENCE

Minimum five (5) years’ experience with multiple human resource disciplines (benefits administration, compensation practices, diversity and inclusion, employee relations, organizational development, performance management, state and federal employment laws, etc.)
Minimum three (3) years' experience resolving complex human resource issues.
Knowledge, understanding and application of relevant state and federal employment laws including awareness of implications upon the employer.

Project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities
Compensation and Employee Benefits: Works jointly with Compensation and business unit management on compensation initiatives, issues and job offers in accordance with compensation policy. Handles worker’s compensation, short-term disability and Family Medical Leave for assigned business unit through collaboration with Benefits and Compensation team., Disability and Accomodation Review: Coordinates review of accommodation requests and participates in the determination of appropriate responses and actions on the part of the enterprise under the guidance of the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) and other state/federal laws., Enterprise Learning and Development: Consults with supervisory and management staff regarding educational, growth, performance improvement and performance development of team and individuals. Collaborates with Learning and Organizational Development team to ensure enterprise opportunities are known and utilized., HR Functions: Partners with management in developing processes, strategies and tools to meet the Human Resources needs of the business unit. Serves as liaison with Workday team to ensure understanding, utilization and completion of work processes occur within the assigned business unit. Contributes to the overall human resources program development, implementation and administration of the enterprise, serving on specified Human Resource initiative teams as requested. Assists business unit to develop a physical access (badge) profile and auditing process for same., Human Resource Support: Provides comprehensive Human Resource guidance to assigned business units, also providing assistance to other lines of business in the absence of the assigned HR Business Partner and generates reports and provide data-backed solutions to HR or business unit as required., Performs other duties as assigned.

Professional in Human Resources (PHR) - HR Certification Institute (HCRI), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) - Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
