Job description

ImageX has an immediate opportunity for a talented Brand & Communications Specialist to join our team. At ImageX, you’ll work on exciting and challenging projects in a hybrid Agile environment where innovation and learning are prized and everyone’s voice is heard. As such, we are a distributed workforce that works predominantly remotely and embraces opportunities throughout the year for co-working days, events and retreats. 

About the Position:
As our Brand & Communications Specialist, reporting to the VP, Marketing, you will bring your passion and creativity by contributing to a dynamic team and helping ImageX create and maintain a brand that aligns with our core values and focuses on generating a continuous pipeline of inbound leads and demand.

About You:
The ideal candidate is a creative, adaptable professional with excellent presentation and communication skills. You are a proactive go-getter - attending events and talking with people gets you excited!  You are able to think on your feet and are comfortable with drawing from best practices, your own research and the knowledge of peers.  

This role requires creative thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to enhance brand visibility and strengthen our public image. You have the ability to tailor your message to your audience, manage the brand and align with broader marketing goals. You are a communications expert in the digital world; post-it notes and highlighters are a thing of the past, and you are incredibly comfortable operating in a remote environment with a global team. 

As a Brand & Communications Specialist, you need:
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or certifications in related fields (Marketing, Communications, Business Administration etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar Branding and Communications marketing role (ideally within an agency environment)
  • Tech savvy and adept with modern marketing tools (Hootsuite, Pally, MailChimp, Asana, website CMS, etc.)
  • Ability to adapt to a diverse range of marketing campaigns across various channels
  • Experience creating content for all channels (social media, blogs, 3rd party articles, email, press releases etc.) working with internal/external teams to pull required information
  • Onsite experience at conferences or events - including set up, booth management and take down
  • Experience managing a website using a content management system (CMS)
  • Excellent communications skills, including writing and editing.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, organization, problem-solving and coordination skills
  • Strong ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Able to identify needs and proactively handle ever changing marketing deliverable, being comfortable with prioritization
  • Able to attend 1-2 events/quarter (domestic & international)

  • Nice to have:
  • Experience with Copywriting
  • Understanding of SEO techniques
  • Experience in an web agency environment or as a solo marketer
  • Team and project management experience - or would like to grow into a Management role

    Base Salary Range:  $60,000 - $65,000 annually (*based on benchmarking for our Vancouver location - subject to change based on experience/region).
    * We also offer additional incentive compensation including profit sharing and other bonus opportunities (dependent on the role).
