Key Responsibilities

• Take charge of the core UI technology stack within our game engine, particularly focusing on our immediate-mode UI system in C++.
• Identify and address workflow challenges within the team, proposing solutions to enhance processes and reduce future bugs.
• Enhance and refactor our core UI systems, including the UI animation system, menu management system, and heads-up display (HUD) system.
• Establish and enforce best practices for UI implementation while refactoring existing code to ensure compliance with these standards.
• Collaborate closely with UI Designers and other departments to effectively integrate new UI elements.
  
  

Required Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of professional engineering experience with C or C++.
• Proven experience in developing UI frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with talented engineers, designers, and artists.
• A genuine passion for UI engineering and design.
• Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  
  

Qualifications

• Expertise in immediate mode UI systems (e.g., ImGui) is a plus.
• Familiarity with proprietary or custom game engines.
• Knowledge of writing UI shaders and developing multi-platform interfaces that accommodate various input methods (e.g., touch versus gamepad).
• Experience in collaborating with designers to implement and iterate on designs based on mockups.
• Understanding of the HTML Flexbox layout system.
• Proficiency with UI design and prototyping tools, such as Figma.
