Job Overview
In the role of Manager, Finance and Accounting, you will be instrumental in supervising accounting and financial operations for multiple investment funds. Your responsibilities will include preparing financial reports, monitoring trading activities, and liaising with third-party service providers such as prime brokers and trading desks. You will work closely with the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer to ensure that reporting to senior management is both timely and accurate.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily position reports, ensuring all positions, cash movements, and trading activities are reconciled.
- Monitor and track trading activities, addressing any trade discrepancies in collaboration with third-party service providers.
- Assist in the monitoring and processing of corporate actions.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other summaries for senior management.
- Support the calculation of management and performance fees.
- Review and resolve discrepancies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional multitasking abilities in a deadline-driven setting.
- Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities concurrently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in investment/hedge fund accounting or auditing.
- Previous experience at a Big 4 firm or within a hedge fund is highly regarded.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is advantageous.
