Job description

Granicus Australia is looking for a Business Development Manager (Digital Services & Platforms) to be the leading force behind growing our client relationships in the Australia/New Zealand market. This is a hunter position that is responsible for generating new customers for our best-in-class software, platforms, services and solutions. We need an assertive sales professional who can connect with the right people in the government & public sector, has a passion for making a difference, and knows the Software as a Service (SaaS) and cloud-based platform industry. This position is responsible for proactive government agency outreach for SaaS and digital services platform sales. This begins with lead generation, and continues through all phases of the sales process, culminating in the sales win/close for hi-tech, innovative software platforms and civic engagement solutions.

**Candidates must live in Australia, & have Australian Citizenship or Perm. Resident Alien status to be considered. This is due to the government-related work our clients perform. **

What your impact will look like:
  • Generate new business opportunities within the Australia and New Zealand market through a combination of outbound calling, emailing
  • Follow up on marketing campaigns and inbound inquiries, and opportunities generated by attending company events and webinars
  • Manage a robust sales pipeline from prospecting to close and communicate any challenges or wins to the team
  • Gain an understanding of the prospective customer's pain points and educate on Granicus' value
  • Highlight our differentiators, effectively demoing the product over video conference, and guiding them through the sales process
  • Confidently run product demos for decision-makers of companies varying across all levels of Government.
  • Work closely with team members to achieve sales goals and work collaboratively with our Product Team and Customer Success Team to support and set expectations for customers.
  • Travel within your territory to visit prospects and attend industry events as required

  • You will love this role if you have:
  • Minimum five years of directly relevant professional experience in business development, account and relationship management
  • Proficiency in Salesforce
  • Previous experience working with government SaaS contracting mechanisms and sales processes
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Experience in the Software as a Service (SaaS) and / or the digital services and platforms industry
