Job Title: IT Assistant - Remote

We invite you to contribute your talents as an IT Assistant, providing essential support to our Director of IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage new user account setups and configure workstations for associates across the organization.
  • Deliver technical assistance to team members in both local and remote capacities through phone and internet/screensharing.
  • Install and maintain upgrades, handle data transfers, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues within a Windows environment.
  • Provide support for peripherals, including printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
  • Resolve LAN hardware and software challenges, including those related to file servers and networking equipment.
  • Conduct on-site analysis and troubleshooting for complex PC issues, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Respond promptly to incoming help requests regarding PC and hardware concerns, offering training and support as necessary.

Required Skills

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in an IT support position, with a focus on troubleshooting within a Windows environment.
  • Proficient technical knowledge of network and PC hardware, particularly on the Microsoft platform.
  • Practical experience in hardware troubleshooting and the ability to operate essential tools and components.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills paired with a strong customer-service orientation.
  • Ability to foster effective interpersonal relationships in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in IT support (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified) are advantageous.
