Remote ESOL/Computer Instructor | WFH

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Computer/ESOL Instructor to join our team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will foster an engaging and effective learning environment for our refugee and immigrant clients within a diverse and multilevel classroom setting. Through innovative teaching methods and the latest technology, you will deliver tailored instruction that empowers adult learners, helping them to successfully navigate professional job searches by covering essential computer skills from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver culturally competent and equitable client services with minimal supervision.
• Provide both classroom and remote instruction, administering assessments in accordance with grant requirements.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that encompasses:
• Fundamentals of Computers
• Computer Basics 1
• Computer Basics 2
• Online Job Application Lifecycle Course
• Prepare detailed lesson plans to address the diverse needs of learners.
• Conduct student evaluations and monitor client progress as required by funding sources.
• Maintain accurate client records and input data into relevant databases.
• Collaborate with the Workforce Solutions Department to create and implement a client recruitment and retention plan.
• Assist with the recruitment and engagement of volunteers, including training and supervision.
• Attend meetings and training sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
• At least 2 years of curriculum design experience in ESOL and computer-based instruction.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching computer skills to adult learners at various proficiency levels.
• At least 2 years of experience teaching ESOL to adults with diverse English capabilities.
• Strong understanding of computer instruction principles and various platforms.
• A Bachelor's Degree in STEM education with a focus on computer science or a similar certification is preferred.
