Remote Principal Engineer Platform

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Platform Engineer to join our innovative team of experts. In this role, you will utilize your extensive knowledge in hybrid infrastructure to design, implement, and manage developer platforms in both private and public cloud settings. Your expertise in Kubernetes, cloud services, and platform APIs will empower you to develop scalable and efficient solutions that drive significant results.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide architectural leadership for the development and management of large-scale Kubernetes clusters.
• Work closely with clients and stakeholders to conceptualize and execute scalable digital solutions.
• Spearhead rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept projects for emerging platform features.
• Maintain and improve the core services that facilitate containerized applications.
• Create and optimize platform APIs to enhance and automate routine software operations.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering their growth and providing expert guidance.
• Strategically plan and prioritize team sprints for optimal solution delivery.
  
  

Required Skills

• Over 5 years of experience managing production-level Kubernetes clusters.
• More than 5 years of experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• At least 3 years of proficiency in modern programming languages, including Java, Python, or Go.
• Experience in developing platform services and APIs for containerized applications.
• Strong command of Linux and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Extensive background with Docker and container orchestration technologies.
• Familiarity with data-intensive platforms and open-source solutions.
• Agile methodology experience, including Scrum or Kanban.
• A strong commitment to collaboration and results-oriented work.
