Job Overview

We are actively seeking a dedicated Automation Software Support Engineer to become an integral part of our remote team. This role will focus on delivering remote support and development for automation and robotic systems. Your proficiency in PLC programming, software diagnostics, and client engagement will be crucial to our organizational success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer remote technical assistance for issues related to automation equipment, particularly robotic systems.
  • Collaborate with global clients to provide outstanding customer service and technical support.
  • Participate in software development for current projects and oversee post-sale software-related initiatives.
  • Cultivate and sustain robust client relationships to promote long-term business collaborations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all operational activities.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience in PLC programming, especially with Allen Bradley or Siemens.
  • Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft Transact SQL, .NET Framework, Visual Basic, and ASi Safety systems.
  • Proficient in TCP/IP networking and system integration involving servo motors/software in industrial environments.
  • Capability to adapt swiftly to changing circumstances and work efficiently under pressure in intricate settings.
  • Availability for flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred: Experience with Oracle, SQL databases, or Java programming languages.
  • Preferred: Proven experience with network protocols, various programming languages, and servo drives.

Compensation And Benefits

The annual salary for this position is between \(60,000 and \)70,000. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, and a 401(k) plan.
