Position Title: Property Manager

Location: DMV Area (Remote/WFH)

Job Overview

We are in search of a motivated and detail-oriented Property Manager to join our esteemed team and oversee a portfolio of single-family rental homes. This role encompasses engaging in fieldwork, performing property inspections, preparing residences for leasing, and serving as the primary representative for your designated territory. You will manage the performance of your portfolio while leading a dedicated team that supports the operational facets of property management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure adherence to lease agreements and property standards.
  • Document property conditions through comprehensive photography and reporting.
  • Prepare homes for leasing by coordinating necessary repairs and cleaning to guarantee they are move-in ready.
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for tenants, addressing their inquiries and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Manage all leasing activities, including marketing available properties, conducting property showings, screening applicants, and finalizing lease agreements.
  • Supervise the property management team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations, maintenance coordination, and lease renewals.
  • Provide training and support to staff, ensuring they meet established performance objectives.
  • Monitor income and expenditures to maximize profitability.
  • Prepare financial reports for senior management that include insights on portfolio performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of property operations, tenant interactions, and financial transactions.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Zinspector), Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to spend 50-80% of your time in the field and travel nationally as required.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and ledger management.

Qualifications

  • A degree or certifications in Property Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in property management, preferably with single-family rentals.
  • Strong knowledge of local housing laws and regulations.
  • An active real estate license for the DMV area is required.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Base Salary: \(50,000 - \)60,000 annually (commensurate with experience and qualifications).

  • A monthly vehicle allowance ranging from \(250 to \)550.
