About This Role
Carrier Residential HVAC is seeking a dynamic Head of Sales, North America (Senior Sales Manager) to lead the Hydronics North America Sales team (legacy Viessmann North America) in their regional area. This role is responsible for strategically planning, developing, and executing sales programs to drive growth across new and existing markets, ensuring the profitable expansion of our business. The position will lead the entire Hydronics NA sales organization, including direct and indirect sales channels, commissioned representatives, and external sales agencies, while collaborating closely with internal factory sales, marketing functions, and distribution partners.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to build and nurture strategic, collaborative relationships with a national customer base, transforming these relationships into true partnerships that benefit both company and customer. This individual will be responsible for developing and overseeing sales strategies that align with long-term business objectives and supervising the Regional Sales Managers (RSM) team to achieve sustained, profitable growth across the wholesale and distribution business. This role requires a visionary sales leader with a proven track record of success in driving organizational change and delivering on ambitious sales targets.
This role will drive sustained revenue growth and deepen customer engagement through effective sales and marketing strategies. With a strong focus on strategic account management and channel development, this role leads high-performing teams and fosters a collaborative, customer-centric sales culture. Leveraging data-driven insights, this leader ensures organizational alignment, optimizes go-to-market strategies, manages key partnerships, and continuously refines sales processes to achieve LT business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, develop, and provide guidance to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) team.
Partner with distribution channels to develop and execute national and regional growth strategies that consider market-specific dynamics and trends.
Define initiatives and set KPIs to drive market share growth.
Conduct quarterly reviews with strategic customers to ensure alignment on performance and growth initiatives.
Create and implement market strategies and programs for business expansion while maintaining current customer relationships.
Oversee the development and execution of sales proposals, agreements, and promotional opportunities in collaboration with the RSM team.
Monitor industry trends, market shifts, and competitive activities to inform strategic decision-making.
Foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and develop targeted programs to support business objectives.
Lead process optimization efforts in areas such as pricing requests, dealer management, and marketing implementation to enhance profitability and reduce operational friction.
Work collaboratively within a team environment and support strategic initiatives through the creation of compelling presentations and communication materials.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
10+ years of sales experience
5+ years of people leadership experience
5+ years of experience working with distributors across the national footprint within professional wholesale distribution
Ability to travel up to 50% as required
Preferred Qualifications:
BA/BS degree
Advanced degree (MA/MS/MBA)
Knowledge of hydronic heating industry market and its distribution channels.
Must demonstrate strong leadership skills with a positive self-driven and attitude.
Experience working with distributors in the Carrier, Bryant, Payne, and/or ICP channels
6 + years of people leadership
Ability to think outside the box, innovate, take risks and implement progressive, sustainable solutions.
Strong ability to work in diverse, cross functional project teams to achieve high levels of performance in a dynamic, changing environment.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to pull data from assorted sources and synthesis in both graphic and verbal format, so that it is easily understood by the target audience.
Proven capacity to communicate professionally in written and verbal format across a wide audience.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities.
Superior follow-up and follow-through skills.
Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access & PowerPoint).

Pay Range:
$109,456 - $191,938 Annually
