A s a DevOps Release Engineer, you will be a core member of a team composed of highly skilled individuals who are comfortable working in dynamic and technically sophisticated environments. This release engineering team is a small, highly performant group that provides a resilient and reliable infrastructure for engineering teams to deploy the big ecosystem of products they develop.
What You Will Do :
The Cisco Release engineering team is looking for a strong and collaborative DevOps Release Engineer with energy and passion in the security space. You'll be a key player in a team who is responsible for managing all aspects of CI/CD infrastructure for multiple engineering teams:
- Support and manage existing build infrastructure (CI/CD build pipelines and tools).
- Work with engineering teams on onboarding/adjusting build pipelines for their products.
- Participate in configuration automation of current infrastructure.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for production critical incidents.
Minimum Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering.
- 3+ years of experience working on cloud projects with deployment to AWS
- Experienced in building and implementing CI/CD processes and with containers and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes .
- 2+ years of e xperience in setting up build environment: build tool (Jenkins/ Teamcity / etc ), SCM (Gitlab/Bitbucket/ Github / etc )
- Experienced in Linux system administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands on experience with IaC and CaC tools: Ansible, Terraform.
- Strong knowledge in networking: IP stack, routing, DNS.
- Experience working in Agile projects and a good understanding of scrum ceremonies.
- Possessing practice with Python, Bash or Groovy.
- Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases.
- Understanding of security protocols and best practices.
- Prior experience of working in compact, highly skilled teams that use Agile/Scrum practices.
- A dedication to continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest technology trends.
- BA/BS in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or related technical field.
