Job description

JOB PURPOSE

At DEPT®, we are looking for a Head of Facilities and Executive Support based in the Netherlands. As Head of Facilities and Executive Support, you will manage the facilities/hospitality and executive support and travel teams based in the Netherlands. You will ensure efficient operations and provide first-class support to the global executive team. The role also involves overseeing global travel bookings and events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the Hospitality Team Lead and their team (6 colleagues in total), ensuring a high standard of service across both NL offices.
  • Manage the executive support team (3 colleagues), taking a hands-on approach to ensure efficient executive support.
  • Global travel: oversee all global travel activities through our external provider.
  • Budget oversight: manage budgets for hospitality and facilities.
  • Problem solving: Provide practical, hands-on solutions for daily challenges.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams, in the combination of hospitality and executive support in an international organisation;
  • Strong background in providing executive support at senior leadership levels, ensuring seamless coordination and effective problem-solving.
  • Hands-on Approach: willingness to work alongside the team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and control budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and optimal resource allocation in hospitality and facilities.
  • A proactive, pragmatic approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges, with the ability to deliver quick, practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and across multiple teams.
  • Willingness to work two days per week in Rotterdam and two days in Amsterdam, with one day remote or part-time. 
  • Working proficiency in both Dutch and English.
