Overview of Role

66degrees is seeking a contractor to work on a 9-week remote assignment with potential to extend. Interested candidates should have the following required skills and the ability to work independently and within a team environment. Need candidates to start by the second week of November.

Responsibilities

Creating RESTful APIs using Python frameworks like Flask or Django to serve data to the front-end.
Designing and managing databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) to store and retrieve application data
Identifying and fixing bugs across the entire application stack.
Using Git to track code changes, collaborate with other developers, and manage releases.
Solid grasp of Python syntax, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.

Qualifications

Ability to work in UK hours - 2-10 PM IST/ 3 PM -11 PM IST

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
5+ years of experience in developing serverless & cloud-native applications
Experience in both front-end and back-end development
Required Skills: React and Python (5 years)
Experience with GraphQL, SSR, RSC, Redux and MaterialUI is desired
Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is desired
Expertise in working with API frameworks
Proficiency in developing applications on the Google Cloud Platform suite of products and services is a plus
Familiar with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD)
Familiar with agile processes and git
Background in professional services/consulting
Strong communication skills
