Splunk is seeking a highly motivated Sales Strategy and Operations Analyst. This person will play a critical role in Americas Sales Operations team. Primary responsibilities include identifying and reporting on key indicators for sales performance and market opportunity, using these findings to advise the Americas Sales Leadership Team setting the strategic agenda for current and future revenue growth. In addition, be involved in key projects results of the Sales Operations team: yearly business planning, pipeline analysis, go-to-market coverage optimization, addressable market analysis, etc.

What you'll get to do
Be an analytical rock-star that can balance operations with strategy and planning and is not afraid to ask difficult questions and proactively seek the answers for them. One will also be able to analyze large quantities of data, quickly synthesize the value-add recommendations and confidently present to our senior leadership team. Last but not least, a rolling up your sleeves attitude is very important – Splunk is a very lean and entrepreneurial company.
  • Design, build, and implement an analytic infrastructure for looking at our business
  • Analyze the health of the business and interpret performance metrics
  • Craft plans to address pronounced weaknesses or areas of opportunity
  • Present recommendations to senior management for strategic decision making, operational change and investment
  • Assist in the development of the Americas GTM strategy

 

Responsibilities 
  • Collaborate with sales leaders to provide insights and recommendations that help them drive their business forward and Encourage organizational change
  • Design the plan for the next financial year in terms of quotas, account assignments, financial plan attainment, etc.
  • Develop operational cadence for the sales division and ensure consistent execution
  • Build reporting dashboards and drive analysis to increase the performance insight to the business owners
  • Analyze the health of the business and interpret key performance metrics
  • Derive recommendations and craft action plans to address weaknesses and areas of opportunity
  • Support the day-to-day business needs of the sales organization – implement cadence around forecasting and pipeline analysis, account management, etc.
Must-have Qualifications
I’ve already done that or have that!
  • 2 to 5 years demonstrated ability in operations or an analytical role in another technology company
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Work effectively in an unstructured environment requiring new perspectives and creative approaches, and with multiple contending deadlines. Strong work ethic
  • Always focused on doing what’s right for the business. High energy and contagious passion. Willing to take on the tough projects and challenges to support growth of the business
  • Ability to be highly productive with minimal oversight from senior management
  • Able to speak in front of senior audiences as well as write clearly, concisely, and compellingly
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to present technical content
  • Willing and able to roll-up the sleeves to get things done
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics

Note:

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $51.92 - 71.39 per hour

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $46.73 - 64.25 per hour

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $41.54 - 57.12 per hour

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation, and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
