About the role
We have a great opportunity for a forward-thinking, self-motivated IT Business Analyst Specialist to join our Data and Analytics team.
Acting as the link between business and IT partners, your goal will be to help ensure that we’re building the right products and processes to support a second-to-none customer experience.
What you’ll do here:
Organize and facilitate requirements gathering workshops.
Do impact assessment and effort estimation to help prioritize and approve solution.
Document solution using efficient methods while interacting with Business users and IT teams.
Define mapping allowing data flow through different layers of the Data Warehouse.
Define business rules needed on the Data Warehouse in order to facilitate KPIs and Reporting definition.
Support the solution development as well as technical analysis done by the team.
Support QA activities and Acceptance testing.
Support the Product Owner in the definition and prioritization of the backlog.
Document User Stories so they are clear for the developers and the QA team.
Identify and communicate the impact on business processes in order to support change management with the data consumption teams.
Build and maintain a robust documentation available to all the business stakeholders.
Partner with – and seek feedback from -- different business experts, managers, and IT teams to facilitate our Data integration processes.
Facilitate workshops to document current business processes and technical systems and help to identify potential efficiencies.
Write clear agile stories that help propel engineering work with the help of the product design team for IT development.
Create source to target mapping.
Guide and co-ordinate the plan, design, execution, and validation of test cases.
Participate in planning, demos, committees, and retrospectives
Execute roadmaps based on client feedback and analytics insights
Support change management planning and delivery.
Communicate project progress accordingly to those involved and/or impacted.
Support the engagement and efficiency of the team.
Act as the alternate go-to source for the agile team.
What you bring to the table:
Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
Strong understanding of relational data modelling (Data Vault, 3NF, Dimensional).
Strong knowledge of data warehouse solutions and IT ecosystems
Strong Oracle database knowledge and PL/SQL queries.
Strong understanding of Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) concepts.
Experience and knowledge of insurance industry concepts.
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of Agile framework (Scrum, Kanban).
Big-picture thinking, with a laser focus on details
Skilled at translating complex subjects into themes that are easy to understand.
Hands on experience with Data integration projects related to insurance domain.
Strong data profiling skills.
Handson experience with creating requirements for data ingestion pipelines involving data vault and datawarehouses.
A true people person and a natural collaborator.
Exceptionally organized, comfortable with ambiguity, and can embrace change.
Forward thinking, with an innovative mindset.
Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.

No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
