Kubernetes Platform Engineer
The Opportunity:
As a DevOps Engineer, you know how to set up cloud environments and provision computer networking, storage, and virtual networks—ultimately, how to “harness the cloud.” We’re looking for a Kubernetes Platform Engineer like you to support our clients as they modernize their IT infrastructures and meet their most challenging missions.
As a Kubernetes Platform Engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll work closely with cloud architects and engineers to manage server configuration for modern cloud solutions. You’ll sharpen your skills within a DevOps framework to establish or provision virtual machines or networks and use cloud service providers to further your clients’ meaningful missions.

You Have:
6+ years of experience with platform management, DevOps, Cloud, and infrastructure in an industry environment
3+ years of experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes
3+ years of experience migrating or deploying containerized applications into Kubernetes
3+ years of experience configuring networking and ingress, storage, and security in Kubernetes
3+ years of experience configuring or integrating logging, monitoring, and metrics capabilities into Kubernetes
Experience with automation and scripting, including Ansible and bash scripts
Experience with developing Helm charts and DevOps pipelines in tools, such as GitLab CI
Knowledge of networking concepts and how to troubleshoot issues
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with Rancher RKE2
Experience with Rancher or Rancher Multi Cluster Manager
Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Experience working in secure environments
Experience with automated scripts to install and harden operating systems using Government STIGs
Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA), Kubernetes and Cloud Native Security Associate (KCSA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
