Deputy Technical Program Manager

The Opportunity:

As a project management specialist, you know the complexities of supporting a project from concept to completion. Many programs require a significant investment of limited resources, and it’s imperative to keep the project on a productive path. That’s why we need you, an experienced project management specialist who can help ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication. 

On our team, you’ll implement and maintain organizational programs in support of Hypersonic testing and development and range modernization. You’ll work with key stakeholders to review contracts and project cost accounting. You’ll help with tactical planning using resources like MS Project, financial planning tools and regular interactions with subcontractors, clients, and internal stakeholders.

You Have: 

  • 4+ years of experience in a technical project management delivery role
  • Experience with MS project to manage project delivery
  • Experience managing subcontractors or vendors
  • Knowledge of hardware design and delivery
  • Ability to function independently as a “self-starter” and apply problem resolution skills to manage work efficiently
  • Ability to manage project scope, schedule, and budget for all elements of a project
  • Ability to identify, manage, and communicate project risks to project stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with program leadership and stakeholders to drive delivery of scheduled milestones
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a technological field

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience managing subcontractors
  • Experience working with suppliers and managing product delivery to a set of requirements
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD design software
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; Master's degree in Engineering a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
