As a GIS Analyst III, you will use GIS applications to handle asset and reference data, build maps and generate analysis to support user requests. You will also implement GIS technology and data solutions through interactions with company partners. The ability to build and cultivate relationships with others, identify and communicate technology gaps and assess data to resolve sophisticated problems are keys to success!

Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Builds, updates and deletes features and attributes in the enterprise geodatabase
  • Performs tasks using Williams standard set of GIS applications
  • Creates and handles spatial data
  • Leads research efforts for data management or analysis tasks
  • Implements GIS technology and data solutions through interactions with company partners
  • Leads small GIS projects and may mentor others
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
  • Required: High School Diploma/GED; completion of some college or Associate’s degree in GIS, Cartography, MIS or Computer Science and a minimum of five (5) years’ GIS experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Cartography, MIS or Computer Science, a minimum of seven (7) years’ GIS experience and a minimum of three (3) years’ energy industry experience
Other Requirements:
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
  • Demonstrates ability to learn new software skills
  • Experience with ArcGIS applications and tools
  • Knowledge of mapping and business intelligence applications, including ESRI’s ArcGIS and its extensions (Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, Model Builder, Map books or Dynamic Map-driven pages), Maplex and intermediate knowledge of Vector, Raster Datasets, projections, coordinating systems and datums
  • Preferred: Knowledge of publicly available GIS datasets
  • Preferred: Experience handling confidential information and with FERC or PHMSA regulations
  • Preferred: Experience interpreting land or commercial agreements and working in standard industry data models
