Job Description
Summary:
The Data and Reporting Analyst is an expert in Medicaid pharmacy data analytics. This position is responsible for analyzing Medicaid performance data and prepare or establish routine reports requested by the clients. Although technical knowledge of data extraction tools is required, this position will focus on the analytical evaluation of pharmacy data and work on a team to support the operations of Medicaid program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provides qualitative and financial evaluations of Requests for Proposals (RFP) and PBM Contracts, including pricing, reimbursement, network rates, and fee schedules
- Performs repricing analyses, trend evaluations, and incorporates market intelligence to forecast PBM and plan performance
- Performs post-analyses to evaluate and improve prediction and forecasting models
- Develops models to conduct detailed analyses of pharmacy data, including pharmacy claims, eligibility, quality measures, and incorporates basic medical/lab data
- Supports and contributes to completion of proposals, finalist presentations, exhibits, and marketing materials
- Assists team with creating complex, insightful analyses to promote proactiveness and innovation through data
- Collaborates with the team to design complex analyses and dashboards for internal and external users
- Investigates non-pharmacy data, such as medical, lab, and Social Determinants of Health (SDoH), to identify opportunities
- Assists with data needs for fee-for-service (FFS) Medicaid program improvement and new program development
- Performs impact analyses for regulatory, legislative, market, or contractual changes (forecast and/or post-change analyses)
- Works closely with Clinical Program Managers and clients to create and publish white papers, research posters, and external presentations
- Utilizes multiple databases while adhering to strict reporting protocols and business standards
- Recommends reporting and dashboard enhancements; revisions to reporting parameters; and other innovative, value-added modifications to meet the needs of internal and external customers
- Promotes continuous improvement by ensuring adherence to quality principles. Seeks out and actively participates in business initiatives that contribute to service excellence
- Actively participates in continued professional development to stay up to date on the latest technical and information management enhancements and reporting best practices

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's from a four-year college or university and 5 years minimum experience analyzing pharmacy data at a health plan or PBM. Experience in Medicaid or other government programs strongly preferred. Related experience in PBM underwriting, RFP development, pharmacy reimbursement, pharmacy repricing analyses, and the identification and evaluation of health plan savings and/or quality initiatives strongly preferred. Must have a working knowledge of key business applications and have intermediate level skills in SQL or SAS coding.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Access.

Work Location
This position is 100% remote.
Working Hours
This is an exempt level position requiring the incumbent to work the hours required to fully accomplish job responsibilities and reasonable meet deadlines for work deliverables. The individual must have the flexibility to work beyond traditional hours and be able to work nights, weekends or on holidays as required. Work hours may be changed from time to time to meet the needs of the business. Typical core business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
