Job description

Position: UI/UX Designer
Location: US - Remote or Hybrid from Cincinnati or Chicago

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented UX/UI Designer with a strong understanding of user-centered design principles to help shape the user experience of our B2B SaaS products. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, product developers, and marketing, to design intuitive interfaces that provide an exceptional user experience for our clients. Your work will focus on creating wireframes, prototypes, and visually stunning designs that delight clients, align with our brand, and enhance user satisfaction.

What You Will Accomplish:

  • Ensure that our products not only meet technical and business requirements but also deliver an exceptional user experience. 
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management and Development teams to bridge the gap between design and technical execution, ultimately enhancing the usability and functionality of our B2B SaaS platforms.
  • Conceptualize, design, and prototype innovative UI/UX solutions that address user needs and business goals.
  • Participate in user research and usability testing initiatives, applying insights to improve designs.
  • Receive, incorporate, and implement feedback from stakeholders, clients, and users to continually refine and enhance the user experience.
  • Integrate UI/UX designs with front-end APIs to ensure seamless functionality.

Key Results of the Role:

  • Improved product usability leading to increased NPS scores among platform customers.
  • Effective scoping, prioritization and management of requests leading to on-time delivery of UI/UX projects
  • Efficient collaboration within cross functional teams including product managers, product engineers and analysts to deliver agreed-to requirements

Core Competencies:
To successfully achieve these objectives and key results, the ideal candidate will bring the following:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design and front-end development, with a focus on B2B SaaS platforms.
  • A  portfolio showcasing relevant front-end design projects, highlighting user-centric design processes. Expertise in UX/UI design, with a focus on creating clean, intuitive, and effective interfaces for business users.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard UI/UX design tools (e.g., Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma) and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Vue, React, or Angular).
  • Experience incorporating data sets, charting, and other key metrics into product designs.
  • Proven experience in user research, usability testing, and applying feedback to enhance designs and API integrations. Passionate about understanding users and leveraging that knowledge to create delightful experiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to define and implement efficient design processes that enhance collaboration and output quality.

Nice to Have:

  • Working knowledge of SQL.
  • A solid understanding of API concepts, including RESTful services and their application in UI/UX design.
  • Experience working in a consulting environment

Logistics:

  • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
  • Occasional travel, up to 10%, may be required for client meetings, team collaboration, or industry events
  • While not a requirement, we will prioritize candidates who live within a commutable distance to our Cincinnati or Chicago offices.
