The Global Process Lead for a group of functions under Medical and Events tower is responsible for the managing a functional cross-section of the end-to-end process across GBUs and locations supported by Medical & Events team such as Specialty Care, Vaccines, General Medicines, CMO and R&D, Data & Digital functions, ensuring standardization and improvements. This role ensures:
- To create a cohesive working environment, prevent departmental silos, and foster employee engagement to ensure alignment with our strategic goals.
- To establish Key Performance metrics.
- Process efficiency and alignment with business objectives, as well as driving optimization across regions and business units to achieve operational excellence.
This role reports to the Group Lead – Projects, Supply & Learning Management, within the Sanofi Business Operations – Medical & Events team. The role covers the functions:
Study Management, projects & Medical Supply Biostatistics & Statistical Programming Medical Analytics
The GPL must have a proven ability to capitalize on their own knowledge and experience in compliance, ethics, and legal matters to support the company’s goals within Sanofi’s systems and operating environments, managing strategy implementation within the goals and constraints of the company’s environment and regulations, and creating transversal networks for worldwide best-in-class implementation of various initiatives.
The role requires the capacity to assess risks and escalate them appropriately when faced with uncertain and rapidly changing conditions, providing data and insights for decision making supported by strategy and experience, and finding resources to resolve issues in an efficient and business-appropriate manner. Effective communication is a must, as the GPL plays an instrumental role in driving the growth of Business Operations as a partner to global functions and business units to deliver strategic value.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage the global process strategy for digital innovation, aligned with organizational goals and values. Develop and implement a comprehensive AI strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Identify opportunities for GenAI-driven innovation within the company and lead initiatives to capitalize on these opportunities.
- Design and implement training programs to enhance digital literacy and processes across the organization to drive transformation efforts.
- Monitor the execution of priorities for digital transformation processes, and the adherence to the core model and internal controls. Perform continuous analysis of process fit to identify improvements on efficiency and user experience.
- Cascade digital and processes related standard principles to minimize risks. Identify risks associated with processes to ensure compliance, data security, and operational resilience. Share internal controls for global processes so that they are consistently implemented.
- Follow the established governance to manage risk and track the adherence to ensure process integrity.
- Facilitate standardization and transformation and ensure the delivery of the best-in-class experience. Contribute to process design ensuring the projects are delivered according to the goals of business optimization.
- Track functional performance metrics and deliver on an automation roadmap. Collaborate with Digital teams, Business stakeholders, scientific communication team members across geographies and business units to ensure accelerated adoption and insight sharing. Regularly report on the progress and outcomes of AI projects to senior leadership
- Leverage technology (such as AI) for process design, controls, and monitoring. Look for the best platforms, data and ecosystem required for the best user experience, and ensure the consistent use of analytics to track performance.
- Support internal stakeholders with key information, stay up to date on global industry trends and regulations, and incorporate them into the business strategy.
- Actively contribute to finding synergies with all members of the team transversally.
- Share knowledge and best practices with peers and stakeholders, leading transformation initiatives to completion.
- Become a key driver of innovation and agile ways of working. Represent the team internally and externally.
- Promote a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing across departments to prevent silos. Facilitate regular cross-functional meetings and workshops to ensure alignment and integration of digital initiatives.
- Ensure vendors and partners consistently meet or exceed obligations, perform constant evaluation of services and processes.
About you
- Experience: 5-7 Experience in the pharmaceuticals and life sciences space
- Education: A minimum of a master’s degree is required with pharmaceutical knowledge preferably
- Soft skills: Leadership and stakeholder management, Excellent communication at all organizational levels, Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, Outstanding interpersonal skills, Ability to influence, collaborate, and negotiate, Innovative mindset, change management expertise, High attention to detail, Ability to ask insightful questions
- Superior organizational skills, Adaptability.
- Technical skills: MS office (including Teams, SharePoint), project management tools such as Smartsheet, Power BI, JIRA
