The Role: 

Carrot is seeking a Senior Strategic Customer Marketing Manager to lead the strategy and execution of multi-channel customer marketing campaigns that will accelerate member enrollment (through a combination of email, digital, direct mail, and other channels) with a focus on relationship-building and client consulting.

This role will be responsible for developing thoughtful marketing strategies for a specific portfolio of Carrot’s largest Strategic and Health Plan customers focused on attracting, exciting, and engaging eligible employees or health plan members. This includes consulting on marketing best practices, persuading clients to adopt our marketing strategies, quickly establishing credibility internally and with clients as a marketing expert, building and maintaining key growth KPIs, fielding relevant requests from Carrot customers, and ultimately leading strategy to drive optimal user acquisition.

The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for health and technology, the ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, and a successful track record consulting with and leading large customers through marketing strategies that are proven to drive user acquisition, growth, and ROI.

The Team: 

The Growth and Engagement team consists of high performers dedicated to ensuring eligible employees or health plan members are aware of the Carrot benefit, how to enroll, and how to maximize its value to drive sustainable and predictable engagement, retention, revenue, and clinical outcomes. This role will report to Carrot’s Director of Strategic Customer Marketing, with close collaboration with Carrot’s Commercial, Implementation, and Customer Success teams.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 7+ years of experience working with and consulting senior HR leaders 
  • Ability to develop and nurture deep relationships with employer and health plan customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience sharing marketing best practices with customers, creating omnichannel marketing plans and strategies, and persuading customer adoption of our marketing strategies and best practices
  • Proven experience in leading and piloting innovative marketing tactics that resulted in increased user acquisition and engagement, and swiftly scaling winning strategies
  • Critical thinking skills to evaluate gaps and partner cross-functionally to refine solutions that solve for both Carrot and the customer’s needs
  • A partner-oriented growth mindset, with the ability to understand both Carrot and the customer’s business needs and suggest initiatives and plans that deliver against both objectives.
  • Stellar project management and prioritization skills with mastery of the details; you’re able to manage multiple projects at any given time with the trustworthiness to execute on schedule at high velocity and enjoy putting processes in place to scale and work more efficiently
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, using data to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Curiosity; you are unafraid to ask questions and have an insatiable desire to ask “why” and/or figure it out
  • Track record of quickly building internal and external stakeholder credibility,  influence, and trust as a marketing expert
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve across teams, often quickly and on the fly
  • A strong consumer marketing background is essential – experience consulting with Fortune 500 companies is a plus
  • Experience in B2B2C healthcare or health tech is a plus
  • Some knowledge of Asana, Salesforce, and Domo is a plus

Compensation: 

Carrot offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of their life inside and outside of work, including health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, short- and long-term incentives, parental leave, family-forming assistance, and a competitive compensation package. The starting base salary for this position will range from $135,000.00 - $145,000.00. Actual compensation may vary from posted base salary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.
