Job Description

CSCI Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to lead the conversion of existing MS Access SQL Server applications to a Java Oracle architecture. This role demands proficiency in both backend and frontend technologies, ensuring seamless integration and performance optimization throughout the transition.

Responsibilities

Analyzes a Microsoft Access and SQL Server application for modernization and transformation
Analyze existing MS Access SQL Server applications and database structures.
Design, develop, and implement new Java-based applications and Oracle databases.
Ensure data integrity and consistency during the migration process.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for smooth integration between components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to confirm functional requirements.
Conduct performance tuning and optimization of new systems.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting during and after conversion.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of full stack Java development experience.
Proven experience in Java, and Oracle database development.
Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks (e.g., Angular, React).
Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to obtain a United States Department of Defense Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with MS Access, VBA or .Net
Experience with data migration projects.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies.
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Capability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
Ability to maintain a positive relationship with customers and other vendors.
Possess motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies.
