Job description

 

Senior Executive Officer

 

Location: Campbelltown
Full-time, 6-month temporary opportunity with the possibility of extension
Grade 11/12 -
$139,787 - $161,663 p.a. + superannuation and annual leave loading
Flexible work practices including work from home, flexible working hours, 35-hour week and flex leave

 

 

Your role
 

The Senior Executive Officer is part of SWS District leadership team and supports the relationship between the District and our DCJ Central Office areas and Ministerial partners.

 

The role is responsible for the timely and accurate provision of information and a response interface when requests are urgent or critical.  The Senior Executive Officer provides a range of high level executive, secretariat, and project support services to the Executive including providing strategic advice, managing communications and implementing strategies to support the achievement of the organisations strategic and operational objectives. This role will suit people that are forward thinking and strategic, who can make things happen on time whilst developing positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

 

As a Senior Executive Officer, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Coordinating strategic advice and information on complex and or contentious matters.
  • Managing, preparing and reviewing high level communication including but not limited to; Cabinet Minutes, ministerial correspondence, briefing notes, performance reports, business plans and strategy documents.
  • Building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders by coordinating communication and proactively ensure responses meet deadlines.
  • Leading strategic and local planning and initiatives, and assist the executive team in driving performance, culture, and outcomes.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation and evaluation of administrative practices, systems and procedures to optimise efficiency and support the achievement of quality outcomes.
  • Research and prepare strategic advice, information and reports on diverse and complex policy, planning and operational matters to facilitate informed decision making and planning.
  •  Provide issues management and support, responding to emerging issues to ensure effective resolution with minimal risk to the organisation.

  • Significant experience in project management.
  • Strategic thinking, research, and development of documents for the leadership team.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Managing communications and implementing strategies to ensure consistent achievement of business objectives.
