Job description

We are looking for an Accounting Associate who is excited to work from home (100% remote) and help the Accounting team.

The Accounting Associate responsibilities include preparation of and recording of financial records ensuring that the data is accurate. For this position, you need to be focused, analytical, detail oriented, hard-working, and able to meet deadlines to the satisfaction of all parties involved.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience in analyzing numerical data, ensuring taxes are paid and reporting of financial data to the immediate supervisor. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Compiling, analyzing and reporting of financial data.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records.
  •  Perform audits and fix observed discrepancies.
  • Keeping a check on the company’s finances based on financial status.
  • Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company.
  • Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
  • Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
  • Assists with assigned tasks from time to time

Qualifications:

  • 1-4 years accounting experience in a full life-cycle environment (PH and US market).
  • Minimum 1 year’ experience working as an Accountant
  • Familiarity with Google Sheet, MS Excel, Quickbooks and other Accounting apps.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound judgment
  • Attention to details
  • BS in Accountancy, or relevant field, or equivalent experience
