Job description

As a working student in our Product team, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact and provide a fundamental contribution to the product's success. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, working closely with Product managers, Engineers, and Metal tech experts. You’ll guarantee that our offers are accurate and maximize sales, while their allocation within our production network is optimal. You will collaborate in executing offer strategies, defining prices/costs for products and shipping, and order allocation optimizations. You will help to create innovative and valuable solutions for the complex requirements of our B2B environment.

Your mission:

Learn and contribute – Gain a deep understanding of our business processes and work with experienced stakeholders to identify key opportunities for improvement

Hands-on execution – Collaborate with the platform operations team (product pricing manager, product manager, and metal tech experts), and other stakeholders to execute day-to-day activities related to offer creation and order allocation

Systematic tracking – Monitor key KPIs, conduct ad-hoc analysis, execute competition benchmarks, etc., aiming to evaluate initiatives effectiveness

Continuous improvement – Perform continuous qualitative and quantitative analysis to better calibrate offers’ prices/costs, producer rankings, and processes, including data extraction, analysis, tests, interviews, teams’ feedback, etc

Your profile:

Currently pursuing studies (Bachelor, Master or MBA) in business, economics, finance, or similar quantitative field

Interest or some prior experience in the fields of business analytics, pricing, online B2B sales, finance, economics, consulting, or other related fields

A problem-solving mindset with the ability to approach and analyze issues systematically, eager to learn and apply these skills in real-world scenarios

A good understanding of quantitative analysis and data-handling tools; Proficiency in SQL and programming languages (e.g. Python) or a proven ability to quickly learn them

Enjoy working on a complex product while being entirely passionate for technology and the digitalization of the traditional manufacturing industry. You challenge the status quo everyday

Great written and verbal communication skills in English. Good German is desired. You are well structured and able to interact with stakeholders inside and outside the company

Your milestones:

By 1 month: You gained a solid understanding of our product, offer creation, and order allocation processes and start contributing to some tasks

By 3 months: You became a valuable member of the team, supporting the team in day-to-day tasks and data analysis. You progressively take on more responsibility, contributing to pricing and order allocation improvements while developing your skills further
