Job description

 

Cancer Specialists of North Florida is recruiting for an experienced Clinical Billing Specialist - Charge Auditor for our busy Central Business Office.  This is not a remote position. The Charge Auditor is responsible for completing the daily charge schedule by site from EMR system to Billing system including charge audit, Nucleus (Drug) report and lab report review. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: 

  • Pull Schedule, Nucleus (Drug), ILab, and Error reports, as needed, from proper sources, create folders and maintain organization files.
  • Report discrepancies to Director and/or Manager, Site, Pharmacy and EMR team as appropriate.
  • Identify and work ILab and Nucleus error reports.
  • Reconcile schedule to EMR charges, makes necessary corrections, email site appropriately and does so in a timely manner.
  • Run unexported reports weekly, and create spreadsheet of issues to be communicated to the sites as requested.
  • Balance schedule to procedure count in EMR and in PM system, utilizing PM report totals.
  • Appropriately adds NDC numbers, lab results and modifiers to procedure lines. 
  • References credentialing worksheet to make sure medical providers are approved to bill.
  • Assist in maintaining manuals and other required information to perform duties.
  • Follow policies and procedures to effectively report charges.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • All other duties as assigned.
