Description

The Supply Chain Services Consultant will review and evaluate a large LA-based utility company’s procurement processes, providing recommendations on best practices for inventory control, procurement systems, and vendor management to enhance operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of the utility company’s procurement practices, including RFP and bid processes.
  • Make recommendations on procurement system design and process improvements.
  • Assess and improve systems for inventory control, purchasing card management, warehousing, and logistics.
  • Analyze and report on procurement practices, providing recommendations for improvements and documenting changes.
  • Manage and report on inventory control, purchasing systems, and logistics.
  • Prepare detailed quarterly reports on supply chain efficiencies, challenges, and technological advancements.
  • Ensure all reports are compiled as per the technical requirements of the consultancy agreement and submitted on time.

Requirements

  • Expertise in supply chain management, specifically in procurement and inventory control.
  • Experience in implementing electronic procurement systems and process improvements.
  • Familiarity with government procurement regulations.
  • Strong background in logistics and work management systems.

Travel

Quarterly travel to Los Angeles, CA is required.
