Job Description

As a Business Development Manager (BDM) in the Henry Schein Practice Sales team, you will be at the forefront of brokerage operations, engaging with dental practice owners across a designated territory in the UK. Your primary responsibility will be to generate leads and secure meetings with practice owners interested in selling their practices. You will also deliver valuations of dental practices and collaborate with internal support staff for the execution of the valuations. The position requires strong relationship-building skills, a proactive approach to securing new business, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation and Follow up:
    • Utilize various methods to identify and generate leads for dental practice sales within the designated territory.
    • Develop and implement strategies for lead generation and business development.
  • Client Engagement:
    • Meet with dental practice owners to discuss their interests and objectives in selling their practices.
    • Provide information on the brokerage process, and the services and support we offer.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the sales process.
  • Practice Valuation:
    • Collect relevant data and information from the practice owners necessary for the valuation process.
    • Liaise with internal support staff, who will carry out the actual valuation. Forward the necessary information to valuation support staff, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Upon completion, receive and review the valuations with the practice owners, providing them with expert advice and guidance
  • Collaboration with Henry Schein Colleagues:
    • Build strong working relationships with Henry Schein colleagues in your designated territory to identify opportunities for collaboration and mutual support.
  • Reporting
    • Keep accurate records and regularly update the CRM system
    • Provide regular updates and reports to the business development team manager on leads, client meetings, and other relevant metrics.
  • Market Knowledge
    • Stay abreast of trends, regulations, and competitors within the UK dental M&A landscape.
    • Attend industry events and conferences as needed.

Job Skills & Experience Required:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following:

Qualifications:

  • Good standard of Education,
  • Degree in Marketing, Finance or related field an advantage
  • Valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel within the designated territory

Required Training or Qualifications:

  • Henry Schein suite of compliance training upon commencement of role

Skill & Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in sales, business development, or a similar role, preferably within the dental industry or M&A landscape.
  • Knowledge of the UK dental market and M&A process.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
