This position directs and oversees specific learning programs for Financial Institutions while managing Learning Professionals to ensure impactful and effective facilitation of web-based, distance learning, and/or in-person programs for our clients. Serve as coach to the Learning Professionals and consult with the clients throughout the onboarding conversion process to the enterprise businesses. Oversee the design, development, and delivery of learning programs, seminars, and workshops, and guide client and enterprise staff to ensure knowledge transfer and effective performance. Provide departmental strategic direction and ensure alignment with company strategy, goals, mission, vision, and values.
Provide assistance to Velera business unit leadership in meeting their organizational goals for quality and productivity through the delivery of efficient, cost-effective development programs. Provide consulting, guidance, and direction to Learning and Organizational Development departments regarding learning strategies, enabling the success of their goals and objectives. Manage staff to ensure proper skill levels, coaching and mentoring, and completion of conversion projects.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop long-term strategic plans for learning professional roles that reflect the vision and mission of PSCU.
- Perform needs analysis regularly with Learning Professionals, business units, and clients to develop learning and techniques that meet the skills needed for productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure development of all learning programs for clients is current, consistent, and accurate; ensure training is designed for the most efficient and cost-effective approach for the Client.
- Ensure the development of Learning Professionals through observation, coaching, and feedback on facilitation style, and technique.
- Interface and build effective relationships with member-owners, corporate, department, and member trainers to develop, maintain, and present effective training programs to member owners.
- Review participant survey data and feedback to enhance learning programs and the client experience.
- Monitor expenses and report variances and exceptions to departmental leadership; Assist in developing and maintaining an annual budget for the department.
- Maintain a calendar of all proposed client learning sessions/workshops and communicate with other business unit leaders.
- Present to Clients and all levels of leadership within the enterprise to build confidence in our learning programs.
- Monitor business and professional trends to become familiar with training techniques that should be implemented to help foster the company’s goals and missions.
- Act as a mentor/guide and provide support to internal and external training staff and perpetuate the development of staff through regular observation and career guidance.
- Partner as needed with vendors and suppliers to complete assigned projects.
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external clients and leadership at all levels to ensure successful outcomes while expanding business opportunities.
- Ensure development programs, as well as various other projects, are current, consistent, and accurate; monitor all programs for the most efficient, cost-effective, and service-oriented delivery.
- Provide and monitor the certification process for all Learning Professionals.
- Able to assess the effectiveness of learning programs for clients.
- Oversee the refresh of learning materials to enhance content and facilitation to clients and Client Learning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Provide direction and leadership to staff; guide, coach, mentor and develop staff ensuring compliance with processes and procedures
- Handle interviewing, hiring, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals, compensation, counseling and termination of staff
- Develop and maintain staff by applying the necessary training and leadership that will allow internal growth and advancement
- Direct staff, to ensure that all duties are performed according to department performance standards
Role Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree; Leadership, Adult Education, Education, Business, Learning, Organizational Development, Communication or similar field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Experience
- Five (5) years of people leadership experience required.
- Proven experience as a facilitator of advanced learning initiatives such as soft skills training, facilitating classes, and presenting to groups required.
- Experience working with various learning technologies, distance learning technologies, and multi-media learning systems required.
- Five (5) years experience in the credit card industry or service-related industry preferred.

- Ability to project a professional image when interacting with enterprise employees and clients
- Proficiency in Microsoft software applications
- Ability to travel as needed to successfully perform position responsibilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of materials handled
- Ability to be flexible and work under high pressure in a complex environment
