We are seeking an Outsourced Assistant Controller to join our Startup Outsourcing Group. This person will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting operations, and financial reports preparation process.

What Work You Will be Responsible For:
Partner with Controller or Sr Controller on client engagement and act as one of the primary contact points for the designated clients.
Manage multiple client projects and deadlines as well as supervise assigned team members in the completion of client deliverables.
Identify and address issues or conflicts with internal or client team members.
Heavily involved in complex accounting and financial reports preparation, including but not limited to revenue recognition (ASC 606), Equity transactions (ASC 718), Lease
Accounting (ASC 842), cost accounting, consolidation package, and operational (ex. AP & AR relevant reports, cash analysis etc.) and investor reporting.
Assist Controller or Sr Controller with managing and executing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and the preparation of internal and external financial reports in accordance with GAAP. Heavily involved in reviewing the work product of engagement teams.
Assist with establishing and monitoring a comprehensive set of internal controls, establish policies and procedures to mitigate risks. Begin to handle payment processing and start to develop an understanding of controls to prevent fraudulent transactions.
Maintain knowledge of the client’s organizational policies and procedures, and current accounting standards.
Partner with Controller or Sr Controller to develop strategies for future system implementations and enhancements/upgrades to existing systems.
Support payroll processing and payroll tax-relevant matters as needed.
Partner with Controller or Sr Controller to support ad hoc projects requested by the clients from time to time.
Coordinate with Finance and HR team, and partner with other service lines for various engagements as needed.
Mentor, coach, and develop Staffs and Seniors. Partner with Controller or Sr Controller to manage and support various aspects of compliance and due diligence requirements as needed on behalf of clients, including but not limited to:
Assist with reviewing Tax PBC for Income tax filing, including R&D tax credit exercise
Take primary ownership of reviewing 1099 Filing, property tax filing, and gross receipts tax filing preparation
Prepare 3921/3922 forms
Assist with preparing and reviewing Sales & Use Tax filing
Take the primary ownership of Franchise tax filing preparation and oversee other applicable local business registrations & renewals
Partner with Controller and Sr Controller to lead projects for financial audit, due diligence, system implementation, and other consulting projects.

85000
and
150000
The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
