Role Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator with expertise in masonry and concrete projects to join our team. The ideal candidate will use digital tools to analyze project requirements, accurately determine material and labor costs, and develop comprehensive proposals. This role involves collaboration with project teams to ensure quality control and adherence to industry standards while providing clear communication with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize digital plans and software tools to perform quantity take-offs for masonry and concrete projects.
  • Analyze project requirements, measurements, and specifications to accurately determine material and labor costs.
  • Prepare comprehensive quotes and proposals based on estimated costs, project scope, and client requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide clear, detailed proposals.
  • Develop and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) to ensure quality control and compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with project teams to execute ITP procedures and documentation.
  • Review preliminary and architectural plans thoroughly.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments.
  • Oversee the different stages of a company project to ensure that expenses follow the forecast plan.
  • Support the team with miscellaneous tasks as they arise.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on masonry and concrete projects.
  • Proficiency in using digital estimating tools and software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Bluebeam software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Australian building codes and regulations.
